Waddle On, My Friend

Ahhhh....Our weekend. Our weekend, our weekend, our weekend....

We don't have pictures to share. We're home. We're tired. But, thankfully, we're safe.

The trip was cut short due to some wintry precip at home. Due to tax season, the Suga Plum, AND the coercion of my father in law to COME HOME; we packed up and left our hotel at 11:15 last night. (Of course, I'm kidding, Michael.) The drive went well. Michael slept, as he should, it was the middle of the night for crying out loud! Josh and I talked quite a bit on the way home about ghosts in the homes of places that I used to house sit. (I'm being totally serious--we had the MOST bizarre conversations last night.) The trip ended with a brief stop by Josh's office so that he could pick up some work, just in case the roads are too dangerous tomorrow. And, that, was a creepy, creepy stop. Michael was awake at that point, and all I could think about as we were waiting for Josh in this scary, dark ally was Cold Case. It's a crime show.

Even though last night was bizarre and exhausting, we had a BLAST yesterday. Michael was in heaven. He responded to the waterpark just as Josh thought he would, with hesitation and reluctance. Once he felt comfortable in the water, he waddled around the baby pool dropping his mouth into the water. This was his attempt to blow bubbles. The falls in the baby pool were handled with complete ease; he popped up, looked around with shock, and then waddled on.

Michael did try out the toddler slide. He started off on his bottom, but ended up flat on his back within .2 seconds. He was a teensy bit rattled, but about a half hour later he decided to give it another shot. Josh proudly walked his brave boy up the steps, and when they got to the top Michael furiously shook his head NO. The lifeguard, feeding off of Michael's fear, began blowing the whistle and crossing his arms in an attempt to stop Josh from sending his frightened boy down once more.

Unfortuantely, my parents and brothers were not able to get reservations at the same hotel, which made it too difficult to visit and dine together. Yesterday we did have lunch with my mom and dad, Clay, and Jenny. Michael has a crush on Jenny, he talked about her for about five minutes in the car. That's a long time for him to talk about someone. My only regret of the weekend is not visiting with Daniel and Patty.

We had so much fun yesterday and can't wait to do it all again sometime soon. Have a happy Sunday and GO LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE!!
