I Hold You, Mom! I Hold You, Mom!

Do you think he's too big for the Mei Tai?

Michael likes to see what's going on in the kitchen while I'm making dinner, which is cute for like ten seconds. He kind of leeches himself onto my legs so that I can't move without tripping over him. And, while leeching onto my legs he repeats, "hold you, mom! hold you, mom! hold you, mom!" At this point, most people would say, oh, just pop in a movie already. It doesn't work, embarrassingly, I've tried. He wants to cook and he enjoys being held.

My solution for the past work or so has been to pull out the old mei tai!

We had more of a "hold you, mom!" issue this evening because the little sugar helped to make brownies. This made cooking dinner an arduous task because he desperately wanted to watch the brownies bake, but not standing on his own, of course.

After Michael ate his dinner this evening, I let him have a morsel of a brownie. Josh told Michael that brownies are really good with milk. So, I hopped up and grabbed him a cup of milk. I did not use a sippy cup. The cup was placed beside the brownie on the dining room table. Michael quickly grabbed the cup and dumped the whole plastic cup of milk ON the brownie! Not exactly what Josh meant, but he did say that brownies are good with milk! Josh replaced the brownie and the milk. And, Michael, of course, begged and begged for more.
