Pumpkin Pie is...

EASY, when you don't make the crust.

Michael and I baked our very first pumpkin pie together this afternoon for Josh. Josh has been requesting one since the day after Thanksgiving. Where was Josh during Thanksgiving you ask? Well...He did watch a little football...And, he does tend to contain himself during family meals. This means that he tends to not wolf down an entire pie in front of the family. He has manners, you know?

So, Michael and I gave into his crazy request this afternoon. Instead of making Meleah's Cherry Chocolate Bread, we did the pie. Tomorrow we're doing the chocolate bread for my girlfriend, Rosie. (Michael is actually pretty good in the kitchen, he tends to listen to directions more and he can really crack an egg!)

We've had a fantastic holiday and now we're gearing up for Christmas. We took a family walk this evening around the block to check out the Christmas lights. Michael loves the blow up decorations.

Here's to starting the week off right! (Now, back to finishing school work that I've ignored all weekend...)
