Joe Dirt: You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?
Kicking Wing: No... because snakes and sparklers are the only ones I like.
Joe Dirt: Well that might be your problem, it's not what you like, it's the consumer.
*********Happy 4th of July!***********
(The above quote is from one of our favorite movies. Joe Dirt. "Life's a garden, dig it?")
After picnicing with my family out at my parent's house, the three of us stopped by a firework stand to pick up some sparklers--not nipsy daisers. When it was time to take Michael B outside to light the sparklers, he got VERY upset and begged to come back inside. : ( He does't like fireworks, they scare him. Poor little guy. He gripped tightly to me, with his head on my shoulder, while Josh lit one of the fireworks. He held himself together, but didn't enjoy himself one bit.
We've been talking about the fireworks all week, trying to prepare him for the loud noises and the bright colors. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of telling Michael that fireworks are kind of like thunderstorms. And, what do you do when there is a thunderstorm? You go inside, of course. So, maybe that's why he doesn't like the fireworks? Or, he just might remember them from last year? The sparklers scared him last year and so did the big ones.
Who knows? Not a big deal, though. He'll probably like them one day.
Hope your day was great.
