DADDY'S HOME!

A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty. ~Author Unknown

Michael ran into his father's arms many, many times yesterday. Josh said that throughout the day Michael would run into his arms and say, "AWWW! AWWW!" He snuggled with his Pa Pa all day.

Since yesterday was tax celebration day, Josh stayed home with Michael B. They went out to breakfast, Bob Evans, Josh's favorite. Josh then took Michael to get his hair cut.

As soon as Michael and Josh walked into the shop, Michael begged and begged for his Mama. Eventually the barber calmed Michael down with a lollipop. Michael has never had a lollipop, except for one time last summer when he got his hair cut. (It freaked me out, the whole choking thing...) Since it's been quite some time since he's had a lollipop, he didn't really know what to do with it! He rubbed the lollipop around his face, above and below his lips. He tried to chop down on it, but it didn't work, so he continued with the facial rub down. The barber was a bit dismayed and asked if he had ever had a lollipop before. Michael did not let go of the lollipop for quite awhile, again he didn't suck on it...he just continued to rub it around his face. (Works for me....)

After the busy morning, Josh didn't give Michael a nap. He took him swimming instead! They played a little bball after swimming, and then went to visit Granddad at his office. No wonder Michael hugged his dad all day--he didn't have to take a nap, he got to have a LOLLIPOP, and he was given pancakes with syrup for breakfast.

It feels so incredibly good to have Josh home. We've missed him so much!

Don't forget to wear your orange and maroon tomorrow, and please say a prayer for the Hokie community at noon.
