Our son has a growing interest in wrestling, folks!
Last week, I took him to his very first wrestling match. My student's had a match against my brother's team. Michael was extremely curious. He asked a number of times about the hoops and why they weren't being used. In his mind, he thinks that gyms are for basketball.
This exposure to wrestling, has sparked a little fire in him, however. We spend most evenings wrestling in the family room, with lots of growling and rolling around on the rug. Sounds fun, right?
We do, however, need to teach our little Macho Man Michael Savage that we only wrestle at home. It seems that Michael is trying to challenge his buddies at daycare. (Go figure). Today, he tried to challenge his friend, J., who is only seventeen months. (Doesn't seem fair, does it?) I will say this...they're probably in the same height and weight class. Michael has the advantage, though, in terms of thinking through his moves. You know, bridging? Lifting his chin, while trying to get the pin? These are the things we work on at night.
It's fun having a son!
