We rolled into our driveway around five this evening from a family getaway weekend, just the three of us. Duncan got to stay at the country ranch rather than the kennel. If you notice the background of the above picture, you'll see that we took Michael to an amusement park for the first time! We had a blast!! Friday evening, after school and work, we loaded up our car and headed south. It was just what we needed. There are lots and lots of stories to tell about the park, you can imagine, he's got "Nervous Nelly" for a father...
(I need to speak with my in-laws about Josh's hotel experiences as a child because he's a little bit *FREAKED* out when we stay in hotels with Michael...something about locked doors, Danny getting stitches???)
The above picture was taken before Michael rode his first ride...Josh had a *REALLY, REALLY* hard time letting Michael on the ride. (It's not like it was a roller coaster or anything, it was a ride MEANT for children under 36 inches!) I tried to convince Josh that Michael would be fine on the Scrambler. He said no to that one, obviously. (Next time...) I couldn't convince Josh that Michael is really good about holding on. Josh wouldn't buy that argument for a second. (Notice the picture below...)
This is a real quick post because my kitchen looks like one of those that you might see on the nightly news, it's really that much of a wreck...and the laundry...I don't even want to think about it...let's just say it's going to be a late, late Sunday night!
Hope your weekend was terrific.

Peter is going to be so jealous when he reads this...he is literally counting the days until we can take the dynamic duo to Universal Studios and Disney. Sounds like you guys had a great time, Michael definitely knows how to HOLD ON!
